CABIN:
All the cabs are ROPS approved.
Depending on the case, they can only be supplied with air conditioning (with activated carbon filters) or pressurised.
MANAGEMENT OF ELECTRONIC AND HYDRAULIC FUNCTIONS (4 wheels models):
The management of the services of the machines is done through a computer with touch screen positioned in the driving position, therefore:
Opening/shrinking of the carriageway;
Lifting/lowering of the arms;
Rotation/refolding of the arms;
Activation/deactivation of knives/wheels/rollers (only models with cab);
Adjusting feed, speed, joystick sensitivity, etc.
The machines are in fact equipped with the CAN-BUS system which, in addition to managing the services, allows the identification of a possible problem, restricting the search for the fault to the section of plant concerned.
TRACTION:
The traction is completely hydrostatic on 3 or 4 driving wheels (depending on the models).
Traction is provided by Poclain radial piston hydraulic motors mounted directly on the wheels and equipped with Twin Lock anti-skid system.
STEERING:
The S8 model (in its various versions) is equipped as standard with 4 steered wheels: the rear wheels are normally fixed, but become steered simply when the operator presses the dedicated pedal.
This allows the machine to have a reduced turning radius compared to its size.
The other 4-wheel models are equipped with only the front steered wheels. The rear steering wheels are available as an option on request.
